It feels like a lifetime ago when you found out you was expecting and saw those little lines or words on your positive test, but before your baby arrives and the weeks and months start flying by and they start changing and growing so so fast. Book your new little one in for a newborn baby session. Newborn portraits are a perfect way to capture all those precious details before you forget them and they start changing so fast, not only capturing those details but getting those first family photographs of you all together or even just baby on his/her own so that you can look back and treasure these forever.
Newborn images are one of my favourite things to photograph, capturing them in their early days/weeks while they are still tiny and new, they change so much in those first few weeks as they grow. The best time to photograph newborns are in the first 5-18 days while they are still sleepy and content and very easily poseable, but they can be photographed upto 8 weeks old for the newborn session but they tend not to go as easily into the deep sleep and may not do some poses, saying that though every baby is different and some 8 week olds have been total dreams to photograph so it is baby dependant.
Most people wait until after they have had either their 12 or 20 week scan to book a newborn session as I can only take on a limited number per month, however if you have just had your baby please contact me and we will see if we can fit you in as due to the nature of never knowing when babies are going to arrive we may be able to slot you in. Sessions are baby led and they rule the show, with lots of feeds, cuddles and nappy changes as required and they can last from two hours to around 4 depending on how they are.
My prices and packages that I offer are here . I am also a member of Baby and Newborn Photography Association (BANPAS) who are an organisation of Photographers regarding baby safety so if you are looking for a newborn photographer make sure that they are safe in working with your precious baby with poses as some images are composites (two photos together) and the BANPAS are a good place to start when looking.
